Vibrating Fork with Hazloc Approvals

Model: VF-95

The VF-95 is a vibrating fork style level switch for universal use in dry powders and fine-grained bulk solids. It is mounted on the side or cone of the vessel to reliably detect high and low levels in bins, silos, tanks, and hoppers. The tuning fork design is ideal for use in light or powdered bulk solids with a very low bulk density that cannot be sensed by a capacitance probe. The rugged stainless-steel fork resists bending and buildup and requires no maintenance.

Applications
  • Hazardous areas when approved to ATEX, FM, CSA and IEC standards
  • Dry cement, sand, and other dry construction materials
  • Food products and pharmaceuticals (stainless steel housing)
  • Animal feeds and ingredient
  • Powdered or flaked plastics
  • Wood pellets
  • Granular materials and smaller particle sizes
  • Light, dry materials that won’t cling to the forks
Features
  • Easy to set up in an empty vessel without any material present
  • Plastic, aluminum and casted or electropolished stainless steel housings
  • Product-independent switching point ensures reliable operation when material is changed
  • Rugged stainless-steel fork resists bending and buildup of material
  • Protection ratings up to IP 67
  • Requires only occasional cleaning and inspection
