Guided Wave Radar
A guided wave radar level transmitter provides highly accurate, continuous level measurement utilizing time domain reflectometry (TDR). It has a physical wire cable or rod suspended from the sensor electronics to the bottom of the vessel. It measures the distance to the solid or liquid surface along the cable.
Guided wave radar devices have no moving parts and require minimum maintenance. They can measure both level and the interface between two media. The technology is not affected by media density, varying temperatures or pressures, and provides reliable, accurate measurements in demanding applications. It performs reliably and is immune to dust, humidity, and bulk density changes as well as noise that might be present when filling or emptying the vessel.
