Volume accuracy for large bins
In wide diameter bulk storage containers such as grain storage bins or bulk cement storage silos, the BinMaster MVL 3D multiple-scanner system is the answer for precise inventory management. The MVL system integrates multiple-point measurement data from two or more 3DLevelScanners—aka 3D Solids Scanners—for surface topography measurement.
It measures and maps a large surface area, instead of a single distance like radar or laser level sensors. More data means an MVL system can estimate inventory volume with greater accuracy than a single-point level measurement device. Using advanced processing and software, the MVL displays a 3D visual representation of the material surface showing high and low points in the bin such as cone up, cone down, sidewall buildup, or bridging.
